Located in the north of Brazil, 250 km from the city of São Luís (State of Maranhão), the fascinating Lençois Maranhenses National Park is a Brazilian ecological reserve founded in 1981. This paradisiac landscape is shaped by the dunes and some oases, where emerald and crystalline lagoons are born with the rain.
The park is located on the banks of the Rio Preguiças River, which is home to various fragile ecosystems, populated by turtles and birds and an exceptional flora composed of
mangroves and dunes of sandbanks as far as the eye can see.
Atins, nestled between the park and the mouth of Rio Preguiças, is a village populated with fishermen and daydreamers.
This little corner of paradise has inspired the creation of the Vila Guará, a luxury hotel dedicated to SaltWater Players.
